Viewers of the 2014 Masters Tournament witnessed something bold, unprecedented and slightly insane. Rather than watching the same five IBM commercials run over and over again—par for the course for each tournament sponsor— Ogilvy made 64 "Dispatches from a Smarter Planet" that ran one time each. This continuous stream of content made sticking around for the commercials almost as interesting as the golf.
